Daughters of the King
“Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to Make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.” The Order of the Daughters of the King® is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of prayer, service and evangelism. Today, our membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches. Our chapter at Saint Charles is named after Dorothy Day, a modern day “saint” whose life work with the marginalized and working poor and her nonviolent fight for equality and justice truly inspired us. Our members pray daily and hold sacred and confidential all prayer requests.
Our members: President: Jacquie Higinbotham (jacquie@redditt.cc); Vice President: Kathy Thompson (pogos@bresnan.net); Secretary: Kitta Felzien (kittaf@hotmail.com); Treasurer: Gloria Zink (zinkszoo@gmail.com); Bev Andersen, Melody McPherson (retiredmelody@hotmail.com) and Nancy Severin - Province VI President (nseverin@doknational.org) We are currently offering Discernment classes on Zoom for the admittance of new Daughters - contact Jacquie!
